Tonight is our first Parent/ Teacher Organization meeting of the semester.  We are very esxcited to begin planning for our fall semester with the help of our parents.  Come by and join us tonight!

Teacher of the Week

Mr. Marquan Mikle – Math

Mr. Mikle is a math teacher at NWPA, teaching grades 6-8. He also serves as the Content Leader for the Math Department. Mr. Mikle spent the last year at Kashmere Senior High School, having gone there through Houston ISD’s “Highly Effective Teacher Transfer” program – an initiative funded by the Gates Foundation. His leadership there resulted in a 13 point gain in math scores on TAKS.

Mr. Mikle is highlighted as the “Teacher of the Week” for the high levels of student engagement observed in his classroom during the first week of the school year.
